It is the one supersonic design that can operate in today’s regulatory regime, flying with efficiency at speeds just below the speed of sound (.95 to .99 Mach) where necessary, and at Mach 1.6 elsewhere. It can use all the airports that today’s large business jets use; fly short and long routes economically; and meet Stage 4 noise regulations and stringent emissions standards. In short, it offers the flexibility of today’s jets, with the ability to cut travel time nearly in half on many routes.
